The bridal shoot is one of the most important parts of the wedding day shoot. These are memories that last for ever and that you will show to your kids and grand kids.
We take great care of our brides and make their bridal session unforgettable and one of a kind. Not one setting is like the other, not one inspiration will be ever repeated. This is a unique and bespoke moment for our brides.
This time we worked with the talented American film photographer Theresa Furey. The dress was made by Verina’s Costume de Marriage. The recipes and words about Gillyflowers where displayed beautifully by Kallos. In charge for the bridal beauty were Bella Bridal Hair and Victoria Jones. Blooms were created by our team of A Very Beloved Bloom. The headpiece was made by Sibo Designs and the robe for the Getting Ready session by Girl with a serious dream. We, A Very Beloved Wedding were in charge of the production, creative direction, and styling of the settings.
This bridal session is inspired by the historical wedding venue Elmore Court and its flowery past. At this point we have to say that we love England and its amazing courts, houses, gardens, and nature. Planning and Designing Weddings in England is just a blast! There is so much inspiration and beauty that it is difficult to know where to start with. Elmore Court is one of this beautiful gems in England. Just a perfect wedding venue.
When the grounds were first granted to the Guise family of Elmore Court in the medieval era, the rent was set at “One clove of Gillyflower” each year. This was an era in which keeping the promise of paying with flowers was very common. Gillyflowers were as important as roses and very much used in medieval England. They were carried close to the face to counteract the foul stench of the medieval streets, or along with other cloves and spices in pomadors worn around the neck.
Hundreds of recipes from medieval times exist, that contain Gillyflowers, but the most important of all is the recipe for love, as a symbol of their promise. Newly engaged or wed couples drank Gillyflower wine in celebration of their union.
So again in this world it was, it is and it always will be about love. We are still swooning over this unforgettable bridal shoot. Swoon with us!
